COVID-19 | WE ARE OPERATIONAL

With the new level 1 regulations in effect from the 28th February 2021 our stores will trade with all the necessary precautions in place to ensure a safe operating environment.

Our safety measures

A directive issued by the Department of Employment and Labour gives much needed guidance on what measures an employer would need to take to provide its employees with safety measures to protect against the risk of Covid19 exposure.

In order to ensure that both our employees and clientele enjoy the best possible protection in our retail and operational environment, Calore has instituted the following safety measures in line (and over and above) the prescribed safety standards as set out by the South African government:

  • Working hours will be re-instated to normal hours as per each store standard operating hours
  • Store and office specific Covid-19 health and safety plan will be in place
  • Designated safety officer to be on site to implement and maintain safety plan
  • Daily temperature readings to be taken via infra-red laser thermometer
  • Face masks will be supplied to all employees
  • Hand sanitizers will be available for staff/clients and to regularly disinfect workstations/showroom display/pay-points (after every usage).
  • Any employees showing symptoms will be restricted from working and instructed to seek medical attention/self-quarantine
  • Workstations will be arranged to ensure that employees remain at least 1.5 meters apart & maintain same social distance from any clientele inside the store
  • of clients allowed to enter the store will be restricted and based on the m2 space available to ensure that applicable social distancing safety distances remain possible at all times
  • Any employees showing symptoms will be restricted from working and instructed to seek medical attention/self-quarantine
